Our resident Japanese specialist Alan Aldred has released a limited-edition hardback art book celebrating yokai, the spirits and monsters of Japanese folklore. The book brings together years of drawing and tattooing, and is a celebration of culture, folklore and tattoo creativity.
What's inside
- Over 150 sketches
- 18 full-colour illustrations
- A gallery of tattoos
- A foreword by Horisaru (Geoff Horn)
- A front cover commissioned from Shisamu Iwase of A Design Lab, Japan
The details
The book is a white hardback with gold foil, 19 x 25.5 cm, and represents over 300 hours of work. Only 100 physical copies were made, and every order comes with stickers.
